Frugal Week Planner for 19 April to 25 April 2017

We only have one planet and our planetโ€™s resources are limited. Vanishing species, deforestation, energy depletion, climate change, pollution, and the dumping of waste all threaten our survival. Let us not forget this as we approach Earth Day (Saturday, 22 April). After all, frugality is not just about finding bargains, itโ€™s about sustainability, saving and sparing resources, reducing waste, and protecting our future.

Frugal Week Planner for 12 April to 18 April 2017

Get ready for a fun-filled 3-day weekend, and celebrate Easter with some frugal activities. Also this weekend is the debut of the Michelin Guide Street Food Fest and of Artbox Singapore. Tickets are $20 for the Michelin Food Fest and are fully redeemable for credit at food stalls, while Artbox – the hipster creative pop-up market from Thailand – is free admission.

Frugal Week Planner for 29 March to 4 April 2017

The first Frugal Week Planner (published in 2014 – boy, how time flies) began when two Singaporeans on the same day commented about how boring Singapore was, saying that in order to have fun and great experiences, one would have to spend a lot of money and/or go overseas. Since then, this site has listed over 500 frugal events per year (90% of which are free or complementary). And on occasions, I would receive messages of thanks for all the work that goes into publishing the weekly list. So it is with great sadness that I tell you this will be the very last Frugal Week Planner…. April Fools!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Frugal Week Planner for 15 March to 21 March 2017

At the Committee of Supply debates last week, it was announced that four new libraries will be opened this year – Sengkang, Bukit Panjang, Tampines and Bedok – with the first one opening this weekend. Join their opening celebrations this Saturday. Also this weekend is the Saint Patrick’s Day street festival by the Singapore River. More frugal events are listed below:
