Your Frugal Week Planner for 25 March to 31 March 2015

It is we who live in Southeast Asia who will be most affected by climate change.

At this somber moment in our history, perhaps it’s a good time to reflect on the important things in life, and be grateful for the things we have – our relationships, our health, our nation, and our planet. Remember that much of what we are and have, we were born into, and that we could have just as easily been born elsewhere or in a different era and have lived a very different life. Your Frugal Week Planner for 18 March to 24 March 2015

world water day
Why not spend the school holidays bonding and learning about various important causes?

For this week, there’s not too much going on during the weekdays, but you definitely will have your pick of fun things to do over the weekend. From World Water Day to the Gelato World Tour, Smart Kids Asia Expo, Movies by the Bay, and more. Just a reminder that these week planners are just a partial listing of free/frugal events (i.e., my top picks), and that there are always ongoing free/frugal events at libraries, museums, parks and community centres all around Singapore.

Your Frugal Week Planner for 11 March to 17 March 2015

concert nparks
Celebrate SG50 at our national parks with the start of the Concert Series in the Park.

The Chingay celebrations continue in the heartlands this weekend, while the NParks concert series kicks off. Also this week is World Kidney Day (12 March) and NKF will be having a special event over the weekend. Don’t be alarmed if there are a lot of people dressed in green (or perhaps orange) especially in Clarke Quay on Tuesday because it is St. Patrick’s Day. Here are your frugal events for the week.

Your Frugal Week Planner for 25 Feb to 3 March 2015

chingay 2015
Chingay 2015 is said to be the biggest parade in Chingay history.

This weekend is the long-awaited Chingay 2015. Also this week, catch the last days of the River Hongbao, free movie screenings, a free breakfast, and the first ever Chingay Night Fiesta. Don’t forget that there are always free/frugal programmes and events happening at libraries, national monuments, community centres and museums all the time, and that these are just some of my frugal picks. Feel free to comment with your own events too! (more…)
