The Extreme Sailing Series world tour begins this week, with Singapore as the first of 8 stops.

There’s lots to do and see this week, from the Extreme Sailing Series world tour to a lion dance competition, and the first Safari Zoo Run Carnival. Here are my frugal picks for the week:

  • Great Online Shopping Festival, – Google has just teamed up with DBS and SingPost to launch a 3-day shopping extravaganza. Supported by Spring Singapore, this 3-day event features amazing online deals from over 50 participating shops including AirBnB, Agoda, Courts, Lazada, Luxola, Qoo10, RedMart, and Zalora. The GOSF was first started by Google India in 2012 and was modeled after the western Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping events. This is the first the GOSF to come to Singapore and today is the last day.
